Bangkok — On November 19th, 2024, Thai national media reported that Thai cyber police arrested a Chinese national in connection with a mobile SMS scam operating in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit area. The investigation began after a complaint on November 11th from a shopper who received a fake SMS claiming to be from a major mobile provider.
