Phuket- Authorities in Phuket have activated heightened disaster preparedness measures in anticipation of Tropical Storm Kajiki, upgraded recently to a Typhoon although having varying strength, which is expected to impact southern Thailand between August 24 and 28. The storm is forecast to bring heavy rainfall, flash floods, landslides, and dangerous sea conditions across the region.
